WASTEWATER TREATABILITY SERVICES & ZLD

The primary objectives of Wastewater treatability and Zero Liquid Discharge feasibility studies are given here under:

Performance of any biological treatment plant would depend on the treatability characteristics of the influents and degree of toxic pollutant load on the ecology of the anaerobic and aerobic reactors. The ecology of the specific biological reactor will be stabilized over a period of time due to prolonged acquaintance with specific organic
and toxic pollutants that are present in a regular wastewater stream. Any major variation in the influent characteristics and degree of toxic pollutants in the influent stream would greatly affect the overall performance of the treatment plant

The success of a biological treatment system will depend on the detoxification of influent wastewater through robust primary chemical treatment operations, segregation of toxic effluents or by adoption of bioremediation/bio-augmentation/biostimulation methods. The success of a RO plant for organic wastewater recycling applications would depend upon the presence of divalent and recalcitrant organic chemicals present in the treated wastewater. The overall technical viability of the Zero Discharge schemes greatly depends on the crystallization characteristics of rejects and the specific thermal energy consumption in the Multiple Effect Evaporator (MEE).
